We seek experienced client service representatives to coordinate the care of clients and pets in a welcoming, friendly, and efficient manner. The client service representative drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, and ensures good communication with team members and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Actively recruiting new clients by promoting hospital services
- Routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the medical team
- Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a Come in Now environment
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times
- Educate clients about preventative care, pet health needs, hospital services and other issues
- Assist incoming clients by completing the required documentation, collecting pet information and history, and utilizing proper collars and tags for identification
- Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments
- Take refill orders over the phone and prepare the prescriptions
- Handle any incoming refill requests from outside pharmacies
- Receiving and verifying payments after each consultation
- Conduct administrative functions as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to problem solve as needed
- Frequently walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, and to lift or move up to 30 pounds
- Knowledge of veterinary hospital procedures and terminologies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs
Credentials and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- One or more years of relevant experience preferred
Schedule
- Monday to Friday: Varies between 8:00-9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
